Father, keep them always true to your commandments.  Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life.  Give them the strength which comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others.  Bless them with children and help them to be good parents.  May they live to see their children’s children.  And, after a happy old age, grant them the fullness of life with the saints in the kingdom of heaven.
- Rite of Marriage
Marriage is a practice common to all cultures in all ages.  It is, therefore, a natural institution, something common to all mankind.  At its most basic level, marriage is a union between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation and loving mutual support.
The Catholic Church views marriage as the joining of souls, and as such, it is a very holy and permanent event.  Careful planning for the wedding will help you and your partner cement important values that will allow your relationship to be sustained.
If you wish to be married at St. Charles Church, you must contact the Church office (889-3248) at least six months prior to the marriage and Marriage Preparation is required
