The Sacrament of Baptism
God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has freed you from sin, and has given you a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit.  He has made you Christians now, and has welcomed you into his holy people.  As Christ was anointed Priest, Prophet, and King, so may you live always as members of his body, sharing everlasting life.
                                               - Rite of Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: ‘Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word’.
If you are interested in having your child baptized at St. Charles, contact the Parish office at 889-3248.  Baptisms are celebrated at Sunday Masses.  Baptism preparation is on the third Saturday of each month.
Adults who desire to be baptized into the Roman Catholic faith are invited to participate in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Process.
