Hospitality Ministry

St. Charles Church Hospitality Ministry
St Charles Hospitality Ministry strives to build a church of communion where we are called to live in relationship, not only with God, but with one another.
Our objective is to provide a place of welcome.  We feel that Ministers of Hospitality are the hosts and hostesses of St. Charles Parish.  It is our responsibility to identify and welcome new parishioners, visitors and guests.  As well, our regular parishioners are made welcome and given a sense of belonging.  We provide safety and comfort; demonstrate respect, and model participation in the liturgies.
We are always looking for new members for this Ministry.  If you are a “people person” and enjoy assisting others, please consider joining our group.  Responsibilities of the Hospitality Ministry include:
  • Greet those arriving for Mass in a warm and friendly manner (A good ol' smile and personal greeting can literally make someone's day)
  • Distribute bulletins and other various handouts
  • Operate the chairlift for those in need
  • Man the foyer office
  • Seat people during celebrations such as Christmas Mass and Easter celebrations
  • Show leadership in times of emergencies
  • Organize the collection
  • Invite a family or a group of people to present the gifts at each Mass
There are no regular meetings, they are called when required (usually September of each year)
